Chen Nuo (陈诺)
I am a postdoctoral researcher at Shanghai Typhoon Institute (in collaboration with Fudan University). My current research explores the alignment process of weak tropical cyclone under moderate vertical wind shear with dropsonde and radar observations. My research interest also expands into balance dynamics and data assimilation.

Pangu-DART Interface for Data Assimilation
Developing an interface between machine learning numerical weather prediction models (Pangu-Weather) and NCAR's Data Assimilation Research Testbed (DART) to successfully ingest atmospheric observations into ML-based forecast ensembles.
Balanced Adjoint PV Sensitivity
Formulating geostrophically balanced initial sensitivities to temperature and wind fields using Quasi-Geostrophic Potential Vorticity (QGPV), which filters out unphysical gravity waves in the WRF adjoint model.
